Awaiting

The vastness of the hours haunt my every hour.
The clenching and unclenching of the heart.
The gnashing of frustrated teeth.
The silent surroundings wearing the silence out.

You don't know how I feel.
Every living moment I breathe for you.
I breathe as you breathe.
I breathe because you breathe.

I can't sleep at night.
My subconscious is filled with you.
I dream of you.
Living the imaginary worst case scenarios at night.

My heart is tiring.
My mind is faltering.
My body is weakening.
My soul is fractured.

How do long distance relationships withstand the test of time?
When I can barely live on a 5 day old memory.
How do people survive without their loved ones?
That's how great love is.

I am weak.
No matter what I seem.
I am weak.
I am no stronger than anyone else.

The hours are lengthening themselves.
They are elongating and suffocating me.
I need you.
Dearly, pathetically. Forever.

Come home.
Come home to me.

Life is not worth living.
Nothing is worth doing.
Breathing is not worth the effort anymore.

My melodramatic language does not obscure my heart from its true self.
I can't help but proclaim to the world that
I love you.

Always will.

B, I love you.

xoxo,

Dance Quotes

We dance for laughter,
We dance for tears,
We dance for madness,
We dance for fears,
We dance for hopes,
We dance for screams,
We are the dancers,
We create the dreams.

Dance isn't a form. It's a way of life.
                                                                 ~ Anonymous.

If dancing were any easier, it would be called football.
~ Anonymous.

When in doubt... dance!
~ Anonymous.

"Dance is your pulse, your heartbeat, your breathing. It's the rhythm
of your life. It's the expression in time and movement, in happiness,
joy, sadness and envy."
~ Jaques D'ambroise

That's how we dancers feel.
Constantly in pain.
Constantly aching.
Constantly loving it.

Rant Rave Rock

We rant to loosen our fibers of anger
We rant to blanket our minds with a sheet of fog
We rant to provide mental space.

We rave to dance, to sing, to breathe
We rave to, momentarily, forget everything
We rave to lose ourselves.

We rock til 4 in the morning.
We rock to dull the sharp pain wrenching across our hearts, threatening to tear us to pieces within seconds
We rock to rant and rave at the same time.

Ballroom Dancing - Latin

So many types of dancing but this is by far my favorite.

IDSF Grand Slam Latin Ballroom Dancesport Championship 2004

International Ballroom ChaCha -Bryan Watson & Carmen Vincelj

International Ballroom Jive - Bryan Watson & Carmen Vincelj

Ballroom Dancing

I'm starting to discover the standard ballroom dancing dances. I love slow foxtrot because it always has great, smooth sounding music and the heel turns are fun. :P Waltz rocks too. I love the slow, graceful, poistureific thingy you always feel when you dance it... And tango is pretty awesome as well, but it's one of my least favorite of the ballroom dances though... I don't really like that whole sharp twitchy thing you have to do with your head and the slow, stunted footwork you have to execute... But I think my favorite has got to be quickstep. It's so fast! I j'adore it. Hahaha.

Slavik and Elena - Cha Cha

Take The Lead - Tango Scene

Street Dancing - Step Up 2

Another form of dance - this one leaves you *jaw dropped*.

Jennifer Lopez - Im Glad (Flash Dance)

This video of J. Lo is a bit x-rated.
The dance can be seen as "vulgar and clumsy" or strong and expressive, I go for the latter.
A blog post without J.Lo's I'm Glad video? No way.

Swing Dancing

I just discovered swing dancing and it is the bomb. I mean, who knew people could do things like that with their body??? There are some pretty crazy swingin stuff shown in this 1941 movie... Hold on to your kedeedabdeiiis. :D

Lindy Hop - Hellzapoppin (1941)

Yes Fungi.
It IS majorly long.
To make up for all my non-updates.
hahahah.
:)
We love dancing.

Love

It's an online studying new technique I'm trying out.

So.
What DO I know about the Titanic? It says on the revision sheet to have some BASIC knowledge about the sinking of the Titanic.
So.

ALRIGHTY.

I know that the Titanic began its maiden -and no im not looking at my textbook fung - voyage on the 10th of April 1914 from Southampton in England to New York. Passengers believed this to be their ticket to a new life in a new world. But it sank guys - for those who don't already know :D - on the 14th April 1914, just 4 days after the start of its journey. There were altogether 2206 passengers on board, most of which are 3rd class passengers. I think 322 of them were 1st class passengers, 277 on 2nd class and the rest on 3rd class. And guess what? ONLY 32% of the passengers were rescued! Out of the 322 1st class passengers, 65% were rescued while only 25% of the 3rd class passengers were saved! Do you guys remember watching the movie Titanic? I hate to think Jack and Rose aren't real but unfortunately they aren't. So. Deal with it. ANYWAY. My point is that they locked the 3rd class passengers and prevented them from coming up to the front deck - as you might or might not know, the first class people always had the top deck then second class the middle deck and so on so forth. I think that was pretty cruel. Sigh.

Now who was to blame? That's the main question here. Was it Bruce Ismay, the guy in charge of the White Star Line, the shipping company that owned Titanic? Rumours were that he pressurized Captain Smith, the captain of Titanic - obviously - to speed up. Why? Because he wanted to prove that his ship company was the best out of all the ships. So they were constantly at top speed - 20knots per hour. A witness said she heard them arguing about this the night before the disaster. That night the Titanic radio operator ignored all the ice warnings sent by the California, a nearby ship and actually asked him to shut up because he wanted some sleep! FRICK HIM. So at night the ship hit an iceberg. This ship was said to be unsinkable because 4 of the 16 compartments in the hull could be flooded with water and the ship still would not sink but the iceberg gashed through 5 compartments! Thus. The ship sank.

Another person at blame was Captain Smith. Now. In my opinion I think he's the one most at blame here. He must have kept a lookout you know and not let that stoopid radio operator skive off like that. Captain Smith was said to be retiring soon and this was to be his last journey. He was said to have wanted to break a record and therefore kept the ship at top speed as well. If they had been going slower they might have been able to avoid the iceberg dont you think?

The Harland and Woolf Shipyard in Belfast was where the Titanic was built. It was built at a cost of 1.5million pounds which would be equivalent to 222 million pounds now. Which is pretty wow. Now the problem with the manufacturing was that the steel used for the hull was found to be brittle in cold conditions such as the conditions on that night when the ship sank. ANd furthermore the rivets used for the compartments were investigated and found to be of very poor quality.

Captain Lord was captain of the California, the nearby ship. He said he saw the distress signals fired from the ship but though they were having a celebration! Geez. He didn't even check the radio for incoming messages. He didn't bother to go closer to the ship to check if it really was just a celebration.

And then there was the builder of the ship who instead of installing 32 lifeboats which would be enough for all the passengers only put in 20 because they wanted more room for the 1st class passengers' rooms!!! CAN YOU BELIVE IT. geez these old people sure are thick.

and i think that should be about it.

thank you ladies and gentlemen.
good night now.

Bee.

p.s. i'd better go back and study now...

We dance.
We dance because our body feels the urge
The urge to move and sway
Gyrate and twitch
We dance because our body can't ignore it
Can't ignore the feeling
To let loose and shake.

We dance for love and because of love
We dance for passion and because of passion

The beat you can't repress
The call you can't not hear
The longing you can't bury

We dance and cry and laugh and hide ourselves
We are different when on the dance floor
We are fun and irrepressible
We are who we really want to be.

No judgement.
No boundaries.
No correct answers.

Just.
Move.
